What are your bake shop hours?

We are not open to the public and operate by appointment only basis

All treats are made to order and we do not have any spares in stock.

Where are you located?

We operate out of our catering kitchen located at 3130 N. Fry Road Suite 800, Katy TX 77449. Reminder-We are not open to the public and operate by appointment only

Do you offer decorating parties or baking classes?

Yes! We offer both.

Workshops and classes will be shared on our website and over social media as they become available.

Handling, care and transport of desserts

We want your cake to make it to your destination in perfect condition. There are a few things you can do to keep your cake safe as you transport it from our shop to your celebration:

The safest place for your cake is on the floor of the backseat area of your vehicle. This is an even, flat space with minimal room for the cake box to slide around. Plus, the backseat is temperature-controlled so you have a higher chance of keeping your cake nice a cool, preventing slipping. Avoid putting your cake in your trunk, on a seat or on someone’s lap.

Β It’s ideal to have air conditioning that works well to keep your car and cake nice and cool. Your cake is beautiful and we want it to stay lovely from the time you leave our shop to the time it arrives at its final destination. Buttercream is made out of butter, which can soften up as it gets warm. A vehicle with air conditioning that works well will help keep your buttercream cool and prevent it from softening and beginning to melt. Buttercream that is too warm from being in a hot car can slip and slide from bumps, potholes, quick stops and sharp turns.

Drive carefully as your cake is special cargo. Take turns slower than you usually would and avoid bumps and potholes as much as possible. You can even put you hazard lights on while driving.

If you are transporting your cake to a destination that is further than 30-45 minutes away, please let us know so we can take special care to have your cake nice and chilled when you pick it up.

Please note: Once the cake leaves our shop, we are not responsible for what happens on the transportation journey. Please follow the transportation instructions above and feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns

To keep your cake in a perfect condition it must be storedΒ in the fridge and taken out approx. 1-2 hour before beingΒ cut, depending on the room temperature or somewhere cool & dark on a sturdy supportive surface and kept out of reach of children and pets. Please follow theΒ instructions on/inside the box for further information. Never display your cake in direct sunlight or it will melt.

For custom cookies: Store cookies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store them in the fridge.

Where do I store the treats once I receive them?

Cakes are to be stored in the fridge and taken out approx. 1-2 hour before beingΒ cut, depending on the room temperature. Please follow theΒ instructions on/inside the box for further information.

Cookies: Store cookies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store them in the fridge.

How do I cut and serve cake?

Please keep the cake refrigerated and take out of fridge at least 2 hours before serving in winter months and in the summer an hour before serving.

Some elements of your cake (charms, toppers, floristry wire, florals etc) will need to be removed before serving.

Tiered cakes will be supported with dowels and a central dowel which is connected to the base of your board. Please remove all dowels before cutting your cake.

Once cut, wrap with cling film and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Before eating please allow your cake slices to come back to room temperature.

What size cakes do you offer?

single tier cakes are available in 5”, 6” and 8” diameter and are approx 5”-7" high depending on flavour.Β 

Our 2 tier cake consists of a 8" base cake sitting beneath a 6" base cake. The height of this is approx 12-14" high, depending on flavour.Β 

Custom Cakes: We usually do no more than 4 tier cakes, but depending on the design we will try our best to accommodate your needs.

What is the shelf life of your treats?

Cakes: 3-4 days if properly stored in an airtight container.

Individual wrapped cookies: 2 weeks

Fondant Cookies: All cookies are heat sealed in clear plastic packaging and will remain fresh for 4 weeks. Once opened, cookies are best consumed within 24 hours. If they aren't sealed in packaging, they can be kept in an airtight container for up to 7 days

Banana Pudding:1-2 days ( store in refrigerator)

Tres Leches: 2-4 days (store in refrigerator)

Ordering

How can I place an order

If the item you require is available on our website, place an order here!

If you’re looking to place an order for customized treats, please send an email to info@frostedbetty.com and include the treats you are looking for, the quantity you’d prefer, flavors and the date you’d like your order to be for as well as a phone number. Some bake shop items require a minimum quantity for customization of color or flavor and our customer service team will be able to provide you with the best options based on the information you provide.

Can we place an order over social media?

Unfortunately, we do not take orders of any kind over social media

What is the minimum order amount?

We have a minimum of 2 dozen for most treats.

Do you have an order deposit?

For celebration cakes, fondant cookies and other treats: Once you'veΒ decided to go ahead with your order, to secure your date & order we require a 25% non-refundable deposit. For Celebration orders an Invoice will be sent to you one week before your collection date for you to pay the remaining 75% balance on your order.

If your order is under $50, then it is payable in full at the time of ordering. If you have requested aΒ delivery service, the cost of this will be included in the final, agreed price.

For Wedding Cakes: All wedding cake prices are tailored to each design.
Once a quotation has been sent, your date will be held for 1 week.Β 
To secure your date a 50%Β non-refundable deposit must be made. An Invoice will be sent to you 4Β weeks before your wedding day for the remaining 50% balance on your order to be paid.

If you wish to pay in multiple installments, this can be arranged upon confirmation of the order.

DatesΒ are not secured unless the deposit has been paid.
Wedding cakes with less than 4 weeks’ notice will have to be paid in full.Β 
Any changes made to wedding cakes must be made at least 6Β weeks prior.Β Β 

Once a cake has been delivered and set up, WeΒ cannot be held liable for any damages done.Β 

For Dessert truck rental or catering: All prices are tailored to your specific event details.
Once a quotation has been sent, your date will be held for 1 week.Β 
To secure your date a 50%Β non-refundable deposit must be made. An Invoice will be sent to you 4Β weeks before your event day for the remaining 50% balance on your order to be paid.

Can I customize my order?

How far in advance should I place my order?

As soon as possible! Some dates fill up faster than others, and if your request requires custom work, we will need the time to source them. At a minimum, please give 3-4 weeks' notice for a custom order. If you need something sooner, contact us and we'll see if we canΒ accommodate.Β

What time will my order be delivered?

We deliver anytime between 8am and 6pm and you will receive an email one day before your order is due with a narrower time slot. Tracking is provided on the day via SMS and email.Β If you need a specific delivery date and time, please make sure this is coordinated ahead of time.

If I want to change the date of my order, how much notice do you need?

5 working days. Once changed, the cancellation policy no longer applies.

Can you accept last minute orders?

Sometimes! Please call us to see if we are able to do, but keep in mind there may be an additional charge during busy periods.Β 

Special orders and large quantities

For special orders and large quantities, please reach out toΒ info@frostedbetty.comΒ at least two weeks (14 days) prior to desired pick up date with the date you’d like your order for, quantities required, and desired flavors. Our team will provide you with the options we have available to best suit your needs. All special and large orders require credit card information for reservations and are accepted on a first come, first served basis based on availability.

I just want a simple cake. How far in advance should I order?

We typically require 2-3 weeks notice to book a simple signature cake. The earlier the better, but we will always try our best to accommodate last minute requests!

How far advance do you book for weddings and other large special events?

Weddings can be booked up to a year in advance! We usually recommend booking at least 4-6 months before weddings, as the wedding season typically books up very quickly and we can only take so many events each weekend. For custom cakes for special events, 2 months is always a good amount of time, although if you have a last-minute request we will definitely try to make it work! For 1-tiered signature cakes, 2 weeks is the typical time requirement.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

For online orders, we accept credit cards (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover), PayPal, and Apple Pay. For phone orders, we accept credit cards only (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover). For pick up orders, we accept all major credit cards, venmo and exact cash.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged when you finalize your order.

Can I place my order through email?

Feel free to email us with any questions! But for security purposes, please don’t send sensitive information to us via email. All orders must be placed online or by calling us at 713.705.2199

Delivery, Shipping & Pick Up

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes! We operate a handΒ delivered serviceΒ to Houston and surrounding areas.

We will provide a custom delivery/set-up quote for wedding/tiered cakes or large bakery orders. This will include travel and set-up time (if required) and requires a contract to be signed by both parties.Β 

The delivery fee includes set up time as well. We will help you set up your cake and dessert.

We ONLY bring and set up desserts and cake. We do not provide decor, linens, or flowers. All items must be at the table when we arrive.

What time will my order be delivered?

We deliver anytime between 8 am and 6pm and you will receive an email one day before your order is due with a narrower time slot. Tracking is provided on the day via SMS and email.Β **If there is a specific time your order must be delivered, please indicate and we will try our best to accommodate your need. note: there may be an additional charge for delivery outside of delivery window

Can I pick up my cake?

Single tier and 2 tier cakes may be picked up at our catering kitchen by appointment only.

For wedding cakes or cakes over 2 tiers delivery is mandatory.

Once you have booked in your cake, all your collection, transportation and storage information will be sent over to you. All cakes are fully boxed and covered for secure and stable transportation.

Unless we are providing delivery services, all cakes that have left the premises are no longer our responsibility.

Strictly no refunds will be given for damages out of our control.

What are your delivery policies?

For celebration cakes, fondant cookies or other treats delivery is available at an extra cost depending on location and subject to availability.

Wedding Cakes and any tiered cakes above 2 tiers cannot be collected and will only be delivered to your specified venue – charges for delivery and set ups will be included in your quote.

For delivery of postal items, once the treats have left the premises and are in the hands of a delivery company the delivery is out of our control. Frosted Betty Bake Shop notΒ liableΒ for any mistreatments of items or any damage of goods due to handling or weather conditions.

Can I choose in-store pickup instead of delivery?

Yes! We offer store pick up at our catering kitchen with a scheduled pick up time only.

Can I order treats and have them delivered to someone else?

Of course you can! If you would like us to direct the order to somebody else, please fill in their postal details when placing an order and let us know who to address the package to, but don't forget to leave us your contact details as all tracking updates will be sent to you.

What are your pickup hours?

We only offer in store pick ups by appointment only. Usually there are scheduled between 9am-5pm

Do you ship your products?

Yes, we ship bake mail and select treat items.

Will the treats get damaged during shipping?

All cookies are protected with bubble wrap when posted. Unfortunately, once shipped, we can no longer look after them, so postage is at your own risk. We don't offer refunds for damaged cookies due to postage handling. You're welcome to order extra cookies to avoid disappointment.

What is a shipping order?

Shipping orders are orders that are shipped nationwide to all 50 states via FedEx and UPS.

How can I place my shipping order?

How far in advance do I need to place my shipping order?

Great question! It all depends on how quickly you need your order. Please note that for next-day shipping arrivals, orders must be finalized by 2 pm Central Time the day prior. Next day shipping is available Monday - Friday. If you are an awesome party planner and gearing up for a special occasion, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days in advance. Sometimes high order volume (especially during the holidays) or weather conditions can make FedEx’s and UPS operational schedule a little slow.

How can I track the progress of my order?

For shipping orders, we'll send you an order processing email with a tracking number 1-2 days before the arrival date. The "Track Order" button and tracking number will bring you to our tracking page, where you can watch your treats along their journey.

For local delivery orders, we'll send you an email when the order has been delivered.

For pickup orders, just head to our catering kitchen at your scheduled pickup time and your treats will be waiting!

How long does it take to deliver the treats?

We offer next day shipping arrivals for Tuesday through Saturday arrivals, so long as the order is placed before 2PM CT the day prior. If you're planning ahead for a special occasion, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days beforehand (so for weekend events, we recommend arrival on Thursday) so you can be worry-free

Is my arrival date guaranteed? What if my shipping order doesn’t arrive on the date I chose?

Because we use FedEx and UPS as a third-party shipping method, we are not able to guarantee arrival dates and times, but we try really, really hard to make sure it gets to you on time. If you’re planning for special occasions, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days early (so for weekend events, we recommend arrival on Thursday) so you can be worry-free! Your treats will stay fresh in transit for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Do I need to be home to sign for my shipping order?

Nope! FedEx and UPS do not require a signature for our packages, which means that your order will be left at the arrival destination as long as the delivery person feels comfortable doing so. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, a second attempt will be made as soon as FedEx or UPS can accommodate it, usually on the following business day.

Returns & Cancellations

What is your refund policy?

Due to the perishable nature of our products and how we are unable to control how our products are transported and stored once they leave our shop, Frosted Betty Bake Shop does not accept returns, provide refunds or exchanges. If you wish to cancel your order, a full refund will be issued as long as we are given 7 days notice. If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your purchase and feel it does not match your expectations, please contact our Customer Service Team by emailingΒ info@frostedbetty.com WITHIN 1 DAYΒ of the date you picked up your order and provide the following information: order number, photos of all angles including product and packaging, a detailed description of the issue and information on how your item was transported and stored. We will make every effort to address your concerns and make sure you are happy with your Frosted Betty Bakeshop experience. Due to the perishable nature of our product, all claims submitted after the 24 hour pick up window or without proper photos, order number, transportation and storage information will not be eligible for re-order or credit. Circumstance pending, Frosted Betty Bakeshop will issue a credit or re-order.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you wish to cancel your order, a full refund will be issued, as long as we are given 5 working days notice for non themed cakes/cupcakes, and 7 workings days notice for themed/logo cakes/cupcakes.

For Bake Mail orders, you have the flexibility to cancel your order within the first hour of placement. Please connect with our Customer Service to request a cancellation. Refunds will be processed withinΒ 3-5 business days.

Deposits are non-refundable.

All cancellation for baked good requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 business days prior to your scheduled pick up or event date. Once preparation and baking has commenced, there are no refunds provided for cancellations or modifications. However, at its sole discretion, Frosted Betty Bakeshop may grant cancellation and/or full or partial refunds after orders are baked depending on circumstance. For order cancellation or modification requests, please contact our Customer Service Team by emailingΒ info@frostedbetty.comΒ or call us at 713-705-2199 immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, however, such requests may not be possible due to the order processing schedule.Β 

What if my order is incorrect or damaged?

In the event you receive a damaged or defective item, kindly notify us within 12 hours of delivery by reaching out to our Customer Service atΒ info@frostedbetty.com We kindly request that you provide photos of the damaged or defective product. Once we review and validate your claim, we will proceed with either issuing a refund or replacing the item, depending on your preference and product availability.

Should you happen to receive an item that differs from your original order, please contact our Customer Service within 12 hours of delivery. We will promptly arrange for the correct item to be shipped to you at no additional cost.

What if my delivery is delayed?

In the unlikely event that your order doesn't arrive on your preferred date, please note that once the item has been dispatched, it's beyond our control. However, if it arrives after its sell-by date, we're committed to making things right. Simply reach out to us, and we'll gladly send you another as a gesture of goodwill. Your satisfaction is important to us.

What if I change my mind?

Considering the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accommodate returns or provide refunds for reasons such as change of mind or taste preference. We encourage you to thoroughly review your order before finalizing it.

Decorating Parties & Classes

What is a decorating party?

A decorating party is a fun, interactive experience where guests can come together to decorate their own baked goods, such as cakes, cupcakes or cookies, with our guidance and a variety of toppings and decorations. We come to your venue or you can book out our front room of our catering kitchen.

How do I book a decorating party?

To book a decorating party, please contact us directly via phone or email to discuss your preferred date, number of guests, and any specific themes or requests.

What age groups are decorating parties suitable for?

Our decorating parties are suitable for all ages! We offer tailored experiences for children’s birthday parties, as well as adult events, such as team-building activities or bridal showers.

How many guests can attend a decorating party?

We can accommodate groups of various sizes. Please let us know how many guests you expect, and we’ll work with you to ensure everyone has a great time!

What is included in the decorating party package?

Our decorating party packages typically include all the necessary supplies, such as baked goods, frosting, decorations, and tools. We also provide guidance and assistance throughout the event.

How long does a decorating party last?

Decorating parties usually last about 1.5 to 2 hours, but we can customize the duration based on your needs and schedule.

Can we bring our own snacks or drinks to the party?

If you are booking a decorating party at our catering kitchen you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy during the decorating party. Just let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

As for outside dessert, we do not allow. All dessert including a cake must be purchased from Frosted Betty.

What is the cancellation policy for decorating parties?

Our cancellation policy allows for changes or cancellations up to three weeks before the event. After that, we may not be able to accommodate changes. Please check our terms for more details.

What are DIY Baking Kits?

A DIY baking kit is a curated package that includes all the ingredients and instructions needed to bake a specific treat at home. Each kit typically contains pre-measured dry ingredients, a recipe card, and any special toppings or decorations required.

You can also order these for any event, if you choose not to have a decorating party with an instructor.

Can I customize my DIY baking kit?

Currently, our DIY baking kits come as pre-set options, but we are always looking to expand our offerings. Feel free to reach out to us for any special requests, and we’ll do our best to assist you!

How long do the DIY baking kits stay fresh?

Our DIY baking kits are designed to stay fresh for several weeks, as long as they are stored properly. Please check the expiration date on the packaging for specific details.

What is the difference between a class and a workshop?

Classes are a fun and interactive social experience with up to 15 attendants where you learn how to decorate a pre-baked cake or cookies

Workshops are technique-centered, semi-private with up to 6 attendants where you learn recipes, techniques, make decorations, and decorate a pre-baked, scratch made cake. You get real time feedback and guidance. Our attendees leave being able to decorate a cake from start to finish

Can kids take classes or workshops?

Absolutely! We recommend a minimum age of 7 for our cake decorating classes and age 12 for our workshops. From time to time we will offer classes for younger children.They must have their own ticket.

All events are kid-friendly unless "adult-only" is specified in the event details. Kids must be 4 years or older for cupcake events, or 7 years or older to participate in cake events.Β Remember, each participant must have their own ticket at an event.

Will you travel to a location to teach a class, workshop or decorating party?

Yes! Travel fees applicable. Fill out our private party inquiry form to get more information for on-site classes.

Do you rent out your space? Im a cake decorator and would like to host my own class

Our studio is available to rent on select days when available.

  • Space rental starts at $150.00/hour with a 2 hour minimum

What types of baking classes do you offer?

We offer a variety of baking classes, including cupcake decorating, cake decorating, cookie decorating, and seasonal specialties. Each class focuses on different skills.

How can I sign up for a baking class?

You can sign up for a baking class by visiting our website or contacting us directly. We recommend checking our schedule for upcoming classes and availability.

What is the age requirement for baking classes?

Our baking classes are suitable for participants of all ages! We offer specific classes for children, as well as adult-focused sessions. Please check class descriptions for age recommendations.

How many people can attend a baking class?

Classes typically accommodate small groups to ensure personalized attention. The maximum number of participants varies by class, so please check the details when you register.

What should I bring to the baking class?

We provide all necessary ingredients and tools for the class. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron and any personal tools they prefer to use, but it's not required.

How long do baking classes usually last?

Most baking classes last between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the recipe and techniques being taught.

How early can I arrive?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled event, and no sooner. We want to make sure the event space is fully ready before you enter.

What if I'm late?

We extend a 10 minute grace period for each event. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to get comfortable and set up your space. If you are 15 minutes or more late to the event, we cannot guarantee that you will catch up. We cannot guarantee one-on-one help at a public event.

Can I bring someone that is not participating with me to an event?

No extra guests are allowed at an event, including children. Each individual should have a ticket to participate in the event. Cakes may not be shared between two or more people for decorating. We want to ensure that each guest has the space required to decorate and receive instruction.

Is there a low participation policy?

Can I book a private baking class for a group?

Yes! We offer private baking classes for groups, such as birthday parties, team-building events, or special occasions. Please contact us to discuss your needs and schedule.

What is the deposit for a private event?

For private events, your deposit is 50% of the total and is due upon booking. The remaining balance for your event is due one week before the scheduled date.Β 

You do have the option of transferring your deposit to another date for a $25 fee.Β 

What is the cancellation policy for baking classes?

Our cancellation policy allows for changes or cancellations up to 72 hours before the class. After that, we may not be able to offer a refund or reschedule. Please check our terms for more details.

When Will I Receive My Order?

If you place your order before 10AM, we'll dispatch it the same day. For orders after 10AM, we freshly bake your items the following morning and send them out on the same day.

Can I Order for a Specific Date?

Absolutely! Just specify your preferred delivery date at checkout, and we'll mark it in our calendar

What's the Shelf Life of Bake Mail?

Our delicious bakes stay fresh for up to 7 days, depending on the product. Rest assured, all our treats have a good shelf life, thanks to our same-day baking and dispatch.

Where Is My Order?

If you've placed an order with us and specified a delivery date, rest assured we'll strive to have it reach you or your recipient by that date. For orders without a specified date, we aim to dispatch them within 24 hours, with delivery typically the following day.

How do you handle allergens in your products?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate specific allergies, as our kitchen handles nuts, wheat, milk, soya, gluten, and eggs.

We cannot assume responsibility for allergic reactions or dietary restrictions. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully read product descriptions and ingredients prior to making a purchase.

Can you accommodate special dietary requests?

Unfortunately, no. We would love to cater to all dietary requirements and understand the importance of this and there are many fabulous bakers and bakeries in our area that specialize in allergen friendly products that we are happy to refer you to.
